About DIANA ry

Who We Are

DIANA ry (Diaspora Academic Network for Africa) is a non-profit and non-governmental organization registered in Finland. Our mission is to harness the expertise of African academics, researchers, and scientists in the diaspora to support higher education and research institutions across Africa.

Through collaboration, mobility programs, and knowledge exchange, we strengthen the quality of education, research capacity, and institutional development on the continent.

We mobilize African intellectuals in the diaspora to contribute to:

Teaching and research in African universities

Collaborative scientific projects

Building institutional capacity

Our work prioritizes higher education because universities play a critical role in national development, innovation, and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Our Vision

Transforming Africa's Future

To transform Africa's higher education and research landscape by enabling global brain circulation, empowering African academic talent, and building sustainable partnerships between Africa and its diaspora worldwide.
